Vacuum pumps are used in a variety of applications from manufacturing processes to medical devices. In general, vacuum pumps provide high quality, reliable performance and are low maintenance pieces of equipment. Vacuum pumps convert mechanical energy into pneumatic energy by evacuating the air contained within a system. They use the same pumping mechanism as air compressors except that the unit is installed so that the air is drawn from a closed volume and exhausted to the atmosphere.
Vuototecnica have a large range of vacuum pumps to meet all of your industrial vacuum needs. Our engineers at Griffiths Components will be able to guide you as to what pump is best suited for your application.
Membrane – mini pumps
These pumps are very quiet, with reduced vibrations and can be installed in any position. They are powered by an air-cooled single-phase electric motor (with protection class IP 00). Lubrication-free, they require no maintenance. Thanks to their overall small dimensions and reduced weight, they are ideal for installation on portable equipment.
They are best suited for discontinuous and non-intense use.
Vane – mini pumps
These rotating vane mini pumps are noiseless and lubrication-free, requiring no maintenance. Thanks to their overall small dimensions and reduced weight, they are ideal for installation on portable equipment. They are best suited for discontinuous and non-intense use.
The VTL Series have a large range of suction capacity, 2 m3/hr to 105 m3/hr, to meet most requirements. They do require lubrication. The design of the pump allows the dimensions to be kept to a minimum.
Oil Bath – MV Series
A large oil recovery tank, with built-in microfibre de-oiling cartridges, serves as a silencer and fume collector. The oil contained in the system lubricates, cools and seals the rotating and fixed parts of the pump.
The MV Series range in suction capacity from 20 m3/hr to 350 m3/hr. Their strong and compact construction make them ideal for continuous and intense use.
Dry pumps – VTS Series
The VTS Series range in suction capacity from 2 m3/hr to 35 m3/hr. These pumps operate without lubrication, negating the need for maintenance. The VTS Series are not recommended when the fluid to sucked contains water, oil vapours or condensations.
